Service Terms
Important information about website requests and services provided by Orlando IT Works.
Effective date: September 8, 2026
These terms apply to this website and to service requests submitted to Orlando IT Works. A website submission starts a conversation; it does not create a service appointment, guarantee availability, establish a final price, or authorize work. Specific work may be governed by an estimate, work order, invoice, or other written agreement.
Service scope
Orlando IT Works provides selected technology services for Central Florida homes and small businesses, including Windows PC troubleshooting and minor repairs, malware removal and protection, printer and peripheral support, networking and Wi-Fi, cybersecurity assistance, connected-device setup, and related IT guidance.
Orlando IT Works does not currently service Apple or Mac computers and does not perform mobile-phone or phone-screen repairs. We may decline work outside our capabilities, service area, availability, safety requirements, or stated service scope.
Estimates and authorization
Information provided before inspection is preliminary. Pricing and recommended work may change when new facts, hidden damage, licensing requirements, parts needs, or additional problems are discovered. We will seek authorization before performing materially additional work or purchasing chargeable parts unless a written agreement states otherwise.
Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the problem, equipment, ownership, and relevant history
- Confirm that you own the equipment or are authorized to request service
- Maintain lawful licenses for software, services, and content
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the equipment and work area
- Keep current backups of important data before service begins
- Disclose known hazards, liquid damage, electrical issues, or suspected criminal activity
Passwords, accounts, and remote access
Some services may require temporary access to devices, networks, or accounts. Share only the access necessary for the approved work and change temporary credentials afterward. Do not submit passwords or other sensitive credentials through the public website form. Remote access will be used only with authorization and for the agreed service purpose.
Backups and data risk
Repairs, malware removal, updates, storage problems, hardware failure, and software changes can involve a risk of data loss or corruption. Customers are responsible for maintaining adequate backups unless backup work is specifically included in writing. Orlando IT Works will use reasonable care but cannot guarantee preservation or recovery of data.
Malware and cybersecurity limitations
Malware removal and security services reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every threat, persistence mechanism, vulnerability, or prior compromise will be discovered or eliminated. No device, network, backup, or security control can be made completely secure. In some cases, wiping and rebuilding a device, replacing equipment, resetting credentials, or involving another qualified provider may be the safest recommendation.
Parts, software, and third-party services
Hardware, software, subscriptions, cloud services, internet service, warranties, and vendor support may be governed by third-party terms and charges. Product availability, vendor behavior, and compatibility are outside Orlando IT Works’ control. Manufacturer or vendor warranties apply where available.
Payment and scheduling
Applicable diagnostic fees, service charges, parts costs, deposits, payment due dates, cancellation terms, and scheduling expectations will be disclosed through the estimate, work order, invoice, or other written communication. Unpaid balances may pause further work or delivery of equipment where permitted by law.
Service results and limitation
We will perform authorized services with reasonable care. Technology outcomes depend on equipment condition, third-party systems, internet service, vendor support, and customer decisions. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Orlando IT Works is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from unavailable systems, lost productivity, third-party failures, or data loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
